I'm having such a bad and weird sensory time today. I tried playing Coffee Talk on my laptop but the animations were making me nauseous, but watching my partner play Resident Evil 2 on the TV was fine. The bright colours and high contrast just hurt too much today.

I just played the demo and the drink mixing mechanic is SO MUCH BETTER. It was the one part of BSC I didn't enjoy, so now it is actually fun because you MAKE DRINKS instead of getting chased by a red arrow of doom.

OH MY GOD THERE'S A SEQUEL COMING OUT PETER IS BACK

No throuple situation, but it was still such a fun game. I want to play it again except I already know the whodunnits now.

If I knew HOW to be funny, my life would be a lot easier. Instead I just word vomit onto the page and hope someone laughs at me. I can't orchestrate it with conscious decision-making.

If it turns out that I can't get the bartender into a throuple situation with Peter and Hugo, then what is even the point?

I can't deal with real life rn, just give me a queer-normative alternate history prohibition-era speakeasy where I can chat with patrons, mix drinks, and solve murders. Thx. (This is to say I spent 12 hours playing Best Served Cold today instead of being a person.)

Anyway, I'm gonna go be an antisocial lump for a little while. Byyyyyye.

Sometimes "being myself" means accepting that I don't have the energy to fully show up as "myself" every day... But I have a blog post up now that I wrote on a day when I had energy, so I guess there's that. I don't actually know if it makes sense, but I tried.

Unfortunately, the person I was watching never did Part 2, and I am picky about who I watch.

I'm in that state where I've just finished some sort of story/media and now I need to find something else that will give me the exact same feeling so I can live in it for longer. This is why I so often watch/read/play movies, shows, books, games twice (or more) in a row. I'm not done with it yet.

Okay, I reached the end and ooooooooof. Painful and perfect (for me). I don't care if it was "right" from a moral standpoint, but it was exactly what I needed it to be. (And kind of what I expected all along.)

Speaking of video games with a plague of undead...

I have to say, I don't like that we have already encountered creepy guys that crawl on the ceiling. They freak me out almost as much as the blobby guys from 4, but those ones didn't show up until much later in the game. SO WHAT IS COMING LATER??

I got to the part with the cannibal town, and when Joel finds Ellie at the end and calls her "baby girl" I just started BAWLING. I knew this game would wreck me, but oof. Right in the feels. So good.

I honestly HATE how much I love them. (No, I don't hate it, but it's a lot.)

Lucian would ABSOLUTELY rather never show emotions (he's almost there), and Orla would probably rather never be able to hide them because she would feel way too constrained.
