Bow River Pathway North is now continuous to the LRT bridge, including the pedestrian bridge over Memorial Dr.
Will riders stay on North side instead of crossing south at Crowchild? They haven’t made the move so far this past week.

Yes that part is closed, but I think it’s getting finished up this week.
It’s amazing! It looks like they did a solid job on the pathway’s foundation and with no nearby trees it should stay smooth for years.
Reminds me 👆 of this painted line 👇 on 15 Ave SW. They eventually fixed 15 Ave SW but I’m guessing they won’t on Memorial.
I think so, but it’s surprising how it takes days if not weeks for word to spread that something is open.
Measure twice, paint once… somewhere different than measured. 🤷‍♂️ Is it me or are road marking standards in Calgary not very strict?
Medium sized problems… too big for one person, too small for your city to prioritize it.
What medium sized problems do you have in your neighborhood?

Had someone once argue a suited 3-plex shouldn’t be built b/c existing neighbours who chose to turn their garage into a business (illegal to make garage unusable for parking BTW) would find on-street parking hard. Forcing them to park in garage woud cause them to move; unfair.🤷‍♂️
"But how will you take a Thanksgiving dinner to your mom's place on a bike?"
Starting today?
Dutch cycling infrastructure during the school run, showing why safe infrastructure is vital if we want children to cycle to school. From a fietsstraat, where bikes have priority, to protected cycle tracks where cars must give way to bikes at every junction. Safe, convenient cycling for everyone.
This Alberta provincial government wants to do everyone’s job but their own. Poorly They don’t know what they are doing and don’t care. It’s not good governance they are after, it’s populist politics - which it seems they discard as soon as they wring people out of their money and attention.

You may be curious to know this video is 10x speed and in 1 min I travel 3km. That means the video looks like I averaged 180km/h.
New Sprawlcast! Calgary city hall is trying to catch up on pedestrian safety while the Alberta government is threatening to rip out bike lanes. We look at all of this—and more.
I do not. Why do you ask?
How much money do you think you would save per year if you did?
Nothing to do with EVs This is about ending forced car dependency that happens when others options are made unviable. Not building, maintaining or removing safe bicycle infrastructure would be an example of Mandating Vehicles. No sidewalks and poor public transit are also examples.
Even their elected officials vote down having to wait 3 seconds to provide pedestrian an advance signal. In a year following record high pedestrian deaths. 3 seconds! Details here👇
