I've started yet another WIP...
This is a test knit for the #divahat in Juniper moon yarn. It's a fun knit with something interesting on every round. I had to restart because I had to fix some of the cables, but now that I'm reading the chart, it's going well.

I have to finish a couple of other projects, but I really want to cast on a VBM sock when I finish my Seine Socks.
Right there with you.
These ones from @verybusymonkey.bsky.social are somewhat similar. I was looking at their rav site, and they have some really pretty patterns.

Conclusion: YES!!!! I won yarn chicken. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ About 14 yards is enough to finish my afterthought heels. I don't have very big feet, so plan accordingly. The extra twist wasn't too bad for knitting. I'll see how it wears over time.
The saga of yarn chicken continues. One more decrease to go. Will there be enough to graft the heel? Will there be enough to have an end to weave in? Also, you can see that this yarn looks distinctly overspun. It's knitted up ok, though as it's unspinning a bit because of my knitting style.
I don't think yarn is supposed to stand up on its own, even in spooky season. ๐คฃ The wet soak helped some. I'm going to work with it. My knitting style will help some, too, and I actually think the higher twist might help with the longevity of the heel (similar to weaving yarn wanting more twist).
Thank you. I'll see if I can find a similar pattern. ๐
Thank you. I really enjoyed this knit, and I love this shawl. I'm looking forward to shawl weather.
It was wet set because it now has ridiculous levels of twist. <Sigh> I'll see how bad it is in the morning when it's dry. The sock isn't going anywhere.
It's about 14 yards for those playing along at home. ๐ฎ
Life's important questions: if I #spin this #handspun, #handdyed 2-ply into 4-ply, will I have enough to finish this heel?
Only one way to find out... also will the spinner wet set the new yarn before using it? Stay tuned. ๐

I think gold and scarlet are good options. ๐
Try watching this video. It's long form, but I think it answers all the important questions about this topic.

Thank you!
Whichever makes you feel awesome is clearly the right choice.

Any chance you might be looking for pattern testers?
Very harvest - it's beautiful.
He didn't "get in trouble" the first time, which is why he is able to do it again.
