October 2026 is the perfect time to quickly talk about some comics from 2025-ish~ that I, the arbiter of seeing, felt were underseen, plus crappy phone photos. albatrossjunkyard.wordpress.com/2026/10/07/s...
Newly to our archive, it's a stellar comic from 2010 by Clara Bessijelle, The Lobster King #1. Working entirely in graphite and pasting old drawings into new scenes, Bessijelle's works with intricate drawings about distinct personalities & places. Read:

yeah, a nice one sheet would cover that (kidding)
i always saddened by how few 'best of' books for anthologies their are. Kramers Ergot could benefit from a 'best of' edition, esp as v 4 is totally out of print.
2000AD and Warrior Magazine are these crazily important anthologies and even if you're very obsessed with this stuff, you have to sort of guess at what the contours of what the magazine was about and what they read like, decade to decade.
I love these 2000AD randomizer posts, I wish there was a nicely printed 'best of 2000AD' that was cheap & in print. There's so so so much reprinting of 2000AD but it's all in weirdly edited, strangely printed & $$ books. I bet there's someone who knows entire run well & could edit a great book.

my eye just doesn't register these, i know they 'exist' but...
im always searching for these, my local supermarket most often just has 'unsalted' dry roasted or 'salted.' peanyts far more utilitarian in their descriptions...
thatâs what i was asking, does that exist? i dunno if ive ever requested a specific chip type before, and when buying for myself i have only seen multi ingredient flavor options available. peanuts? different story, âplainâ exists.
im kidding, we have these of course but it is true that most of the time bodegas have a strange assortment of smaller brands and really specific flavors and rarer that theyll have a ton of âclassicâ lays around. or, more annoyingly: classic is not plain, zack!
ah, gotcha
i never see these, i don't think they have much purpose in the tri state.
