also when i swapped alfred pawn from fighter to mage i forgot to remove his aggro generating ring and for a while i was like damn these monsters really hate him for some reason (hes diligently trying to heal me while 5 dogs and 3 giants try to rip his face off)

doing the basic attack from a height does nullify fall damage if you land on the monster but the weapon skill dive does not (i think???) despite this i keep trying it

One of dd2 magick spearhand moves is a dragoon dive hwich of course u feel obligated to use from tall heights onto large monsters but it doesn't nullify fall damage even if you hit the monster sometimes so what happens is i dive and graze the monster and then immediately splat flat on my face

had to turn alfred into a healer bc i got tired of being the party healer but if you dont have a healer in this dlc your ass is grass
