My great online fan and friend @arisufox.bsky.social needs help to pay rent while his roommate recovers from a medical crisis. Any contributions welcome!
You never know how perfect writers might have a storyline only for some exec to barge in like a bull in a china shop and shout "BUT WHAT ABOUT IRRELEVANT POPULAR THING??!!"
Everything's set up now. It all feels like home. All we have left to do is get the empty boxes to a recycling center and perhaps get a cat tree down the line. (Oh, and get our ballots for the midterms, too.) But as far as I'm concerned, we're here and we're queer. I could get used to this!
"First, we've hired a Minion Exterminator. That takes care of half our problems."
You are all-knowing and wise. Bow to Steamboat Boozy.
What the hell has he got against George Harrison songs
*slaps forehead* wibbly wobbly timey wimey... *sighs* Sure. Why not.
Scanner and tablet are up and running! What better way to celebrate than by posting page 4 of this saga. I think I might attempt to complete this silliness by Halloween! Nothing is impossible!
The less said about "Kill the Moon," the better
However... after the "bi-generating" episode it's assumed Tennant -- presumably still a Time Lord in some capacity -- is living out there somewhere with Donna. And it's never addressed again. Pointless.
To be clear, Capaldi's stories were fine in general. I just didn't like his personality and think his "gimmick" of playing electric guitar was forced. (I don't care if he was good at it, it looked weird whenever he did it.)
Hilariously, I'd love that, because I'm in the minority about not being wild about Capaldi either. *ducks things thrown at me* We'd lose Whitaker but, oh well...
OK... would have dug that. Tennant returning and merging with Gatwa before regenerating would have felt like there was SOME point to it.
And then Gatwa's era devolved into fake Beatles, evil Mr. B. Naturals, musical numbers (okay, all that was from the same episode). We also discover the Doctor has HUNG OUT WITH HONEST-TO-GOD GODS amidst a slurry of fanservice dross. Just terrible. I barely know how it'll ever recover.
I'll be honest. The "bi-generating" bit with David Tennant "splitting" into Tennant AND Ncuti Gatwa was stupid and pointless. Resurrecting Tennant in the first place was already cowardly but this made no sense and felt like Doctor Who no longer had any real stakes or consequences.
I'm very sorry. That's got to be horribly shocking.
Should have been one person, who had really "lived" Lucas's saga, to make all three films, unimpeded by a scaredycat studio who thinks the terminally online are the ultimate deciders.
And do nine hours of a day job at the same time. Crucial.
A dog sort of a guy.
Watching those old "Sesame Street" episodes caused the "How Many Is...?" number song to run through my head (the bit with the cake falling guy). It felt like the Simpsons bit where you see the school bus and hear kids singing out of tune, only to find out it's Otto listening to his Walkman.
