True. I guess for me it would be wondering if there was an option for a synthesizer, sampler, and sequencer setup without spending 2k on something like the OP-1. I know that probably makes options limiting or not possible all in one device, I guess I am looking for a practical approach.

I do have a question. I started watching your videos back when you were first getting your hands on the OP-1. I was curious if you were to give a recommendation to someone just starting off now, what kind of equipment would you recommend to them that doesn't break the bank?

Write up* Thanks for making this regardless. I think it is important for us developers to shine a line on what we are doing and who we are building for. It isn't about having the "best product" that can only be measured by some manufactured statistic.

The thing with creative software (whether for pixels/audio/3D) is that it lives and dies by: 1. Reliability 2. Learnability 3. Community The recent Unreal Engine / PhotoCraft things bug me specifically because they represent a misunderstanding of *why* people use certain cReATivE tOoLS

You might think about things like usability or interoperability when it comes to the need of what a user needs, but that can be a divide. Chasing markets tends to be that way. There is an importance in principles like DRY, KISS, or YAGNI for developers. All of that translates to what you build.

This is such an awesome right up, and it makes me think about my own web applications that I have been working on. There really needs to be a fundamental experience that does promote what you said. Usability is such a hard mark to hit sometimes for some that I feel it is often ignored.

That's a myth. I have never seen it work.
