But math-y-er friends informed me Odyssey had a creative performance element which was appealing. But I pointed out so did theater club and I didn’t even have to do math to do it. (I did also do stage crew which included math but I was bad at it).

I could tell odyssey of the mind was just another enrichment where they try to try to trick you into thinking math is fun (it’s not, can’t fool me) so I didn’t participate. I preferred organized arguing for fun (debate club, school paper, Extemp AND Persuasive, gay/straight student association etc)

I got detention in high school for skipping pep rallies to hide out in the library to write Vampire Chronicles fanfic poetry (in iambic pentameter, no less). I'm basically allergic to popularity.
