Saw the trailer for Clayface last night. Not excited for it but I’ll probably see it. 👍

And then Rushmore and Tenenbaums. Hard to believe it was that long ago. 🫤

Yep. The inside of the whale scenes don’t appeal much to me. If it gets rave reviews and people gushing about the suspense and tension I might risk it. I caught a marine biologists video and she called its events both unlikely and impossible. And that you’d die very quickly in the stomach.

Other Mommy was actually much better than I thought for the first 30 to 45 minutes. But then it started to wear thin.

I think it’s also based on a somewhat popular book (Other Mommy). Maybe? Yep, he had a nice comedic run 20 years ago. And as Wes Anderson’s writing partner (early).

Will not be seeing Whalefall. 😂 I don’t know why but that’s always been a big fear of mine, lol.

I enjoyed that one. 👍 Kid that was also in Thelma is a likable sort, I thought he was good in both.

Yeah, there was an embargo. I told her it looked bad but she had her mind made up. It started stronger than I expected. Runner was a lot of fun. I enjoyed seeing Owen Wilson in this kind of role. I caught a bit of something called Rolling Loud last weekend, he was in that, too.

It’s easily my best picture. I’d like to see it win.

I’ll probably skip it. Might see it when it streams. 🫤

To be fair it was late when I pulled it up. My attention was fading as I grew sleepy. 😴

Conversely, my niece wanted to catch Other Mommy last night … yeesh. She hated it. 😂 And I caught Runner with her last Sunday. Surprised how much we both enjoyed it. 👍

I’ve watched some reactions when they’ve popped up on my feed … some people are just bawling during those two main scenes … and tearing up throughout. Such an effective movie, both fun and touching … I’m pulling for it come Oscar time. (But not too confident.)

I got it to work, thanks! Interesting but ultimately not something I’d watch again. I don’t mind poking fun at slashers - at all, it very easy to do - but I just found the main characters’ plot/story too engaging.

Those Universals are awesome … well, the Mummy is a little slow but both are fun. I was never a huge fan of that first Social movie. I haven’t given much thought to the new one. You liked it?

I guess this year Project Hail Mary got me the best. With greater intensity on each repeat viewing. But the strangest moments will get me during movies that aren’t even really trying, lol.

Oh, cool 👍 I’d like to … thanks! I’ve had that email for over 25 years, only problem is I forget to check it for weeks at a time. 😂

I was prepped going in … usually a movie catches me off guard and I’m fighting tears at the damndest things. The ending got me pretty good … but going in I expected to be blubbering. I managed to avoid that. 😭😄

Man am I looking forward to this one. Looks amazing. Can’t believe it’s only a month away now. The more time passes the more I think GM1 is my favorite of the decade so far.

Only The Naked Spur. You like Camp Miasma? It only played a few late screenings around here and I missed it. Heard wildly mixed things about it.
