I'm not saying "oh you should do this, it's great'. But at the same time, I'm very glad that I can do it. Two years of frequent pain changes how you look at things. I still have moments of darkness, but they push me to shine more light. I refuse to waste whatever time I have left being unhappy.

The non-stop traumas of the last several years have done something unexpected to me: I seem to have lost my ability to feel miserable? Like, right now I should be depressed and terrified about my future but I'm not, I don't feel like it. It's like a revolt, but also a survival mechanism?

The harder it gets to book rooms at cons the less I want to deal with cons. The fandom was bound to grow, but the more it grows the more I grow out of wanting to deal with fighting to remain part of it. Find your own path, your own happy space and don’t assume it has to be everyone else’s. 😉
