Es verdad, desafortunatamente

RFK Jr. is an ethics training module generator.

As always, exceptional reporting from @melodyschreiber.com!!!

HERE IS PHASE 1 OF THE PLAN:

We have conversations open with Congress and internationally. SUFS is now an NGO based in Switzerland and our team is headed to Geneva next week. Meetings are scheduled!

IN THE MEANTIME: WE NEED YOU.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 1:54 PM

Because Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was confirmed by Republican Senators who did not give a damn about the consequences. They only care about clinging to their own power, which backfired spectacularly in the case of Bill Cassidy. Unfortunately, we all have to pay anyway.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 1:44 PM

I doubt it. A reporter may be able to figure it out, but these committees generally aren’t public.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 1:43 PM

What’s interesting is that IIRC, the original protocol didn’t say anything about comparing HepB rates in the babies during follow up. What a tell of their intentions.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 1:41 PM

This question comes up a lot. A problem with this, other than withholding an intervention already known to work, is that a clinical trial needs both arms to be similar except for the intervention. Anti-vaxxers have several traits that would be significantly different from the rest of the pop.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 1:38 PM

This particular Danish research group is already under investigation for academic misconduct.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 1:36 PM

The U.S. is also at fault. The funding agency usually requires ethics review, but this particular proposal did not go through regular channels. RFK Jr. backdoored it.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 1:33 PM

The fact that the original protocol didn’t even list studying the *benefits* of HepB vaccine tells us all we need to know.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 1:32 PM

They are trying to “prove” that the HepB vaccine birth dose is “harmful”, which they will likely do (falsely) by conducting so many statistical tests that one of them pops significant. Then RFK Jr. can falsely “justify”having changed the guidelines for Americans, and more infants will get sick.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 3:48 AM

Yikes. I never would have guessed that. Thanks for your insight.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 3:03 AM

This seems to be a total collapse of ethics review. There is a reason that experienced scientific and medical researchers review studies that involve human subjects. Another safety valve is usually the funding agency, which normally wouldn’t let this through. But, you know…RFK Jr.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 2:53 AM

Apparently, under normal conditions, a Danish national medical ethics committee would have reviewed it, but since the study won’t be done in Denmark, a group at the University of Southern Denmark did the review instead.

Hats off to @melodyschreiber.com for her diligence in covering this story.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 2:50 AM

This is a disaster. The ethics committee in Denmark that approved the Guinea-Bissau study which will withhold the birth dose of HepB vaccine “had never considered medical studies before but it changed the rules in order to vote on this one”. Four members of the committee have resigned in protest.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 9:56 PM

Same.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 7:45 PM

She sure doesn’t. It’s such a betrayal.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 7:44 PM

I understand. I take breaks of varying lengths when I need them. I made the mistake of not doing that during the early days of the pandemic and I have learned from that. Hang in there. These are not normal times, and I don’t think anger is an inappropriate response.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 7:42 PM

Yes. Exactly. I share your worry.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 4:48 PM

Yes sir, you are correct. IMO his efforts are all to feather his nest for when he leaves office.
