Battle Beyond is worth watching though. Yeah, the 90s were rough. Making Vampires was a good experience; but Ghosts apparently wasn’t as smooth or fun and he decided he had enough of Hollywood.

There’s BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS - but it’s not horror. It’s Seven Samurai / Magnificent Seven in space; with some effect done by an unknown James Cameron. Ghosts of Mars is the movie that made Carpenter quit directing until Masters of Horror
