I think I've exceeded my yearly allowance for quotation marks. Everytime I try to use them my phone freaks out a little bit now.

i could sincerely do with out "game news" websites which seem to largely feature "articles" about "astounding new releases!" only for the article to be basically be a "copy/paste from a wiki" and "this is a new merchandise thing based on the thing the wiki info was about."

:S I got riled up over stupid AI bullshit... again. see: my last big dumb rant thread.

Cause the point of chatgpt replacing a doctor wouldn't be: "try to save as many people as possible" It would be: "Save... hmmm... enough~ people so we can keep selling hospitals access to our product."

Something like chatgpt, which is used for anything and everything, is suggested for use everywhere because these fucks desperately need it to replace humans in a way that makes them money. Chatgpt in place of an actual doctor is gonna get people killed. (pretty sure it already has)

its not replacing a human doctor, its supplementing a human doctor's ability to treat their patient... to find the cancer. The only people who could make actionable use of such an AI would be a doctor.

All that said I don't want AIs made to do genuinely good and highly specific things to be regulated into the dirt. Like ones that are specifically and solely developed to help doctors identify cancer cells or someshit. That is an example of a good AI. That AI getting better only benefits everyone.
