If you're an older or disabled NZ voter, please consider what ACT Party policies would mean for you.

ACT plans to raise superannuation age by 3 months each year, cut disability benefits by $653M, pause contributions to NZ Super Fund, + cut support for migrants.

Drug testing has (by design) captured all the attention, but it's nowhere near the worst bit. For more than 30 years, benefit levels have been kept lower than the cost of staying alive. On purpose. Campaigning on the back of cutting them even further is monstrous. The cruelty is the point.

Exactly this. Heartbreaking and like surely shortsighted. It's hard to argue for public funding for the arts when some people never get to see art and the lie that art is for the elite is reinforced by ... limiting access to arts to the elite.

My most unpopular take of the week is that it's breaking my heart that City Gallery is opening with one exhibition that costs $25 per person. Free entry to art galleries, museums and libraries kind of saved my life as a teenager and definitely made me believe the arts were for me.

These were identical trips, loaded via identical referrer URLs. The difference was that in the browser where Air Canada knew that I was an extremely loyal and prolific customer, they had whacked me with a *44.8% premium* to punish me for my loyalty!
