Nothing new, is it? But credit to Burnham for acknowledging it... 👍

With respect, I wasn't trying to extrapolate anything. I was simply saying that it was a good result...

No, you're not hard of thinking Ian, but with respect, I disagree. With Labour on a high, and Andy Burnham generally regarded (correctly) as a huge improvement on Keir Starmer, I would still maintain that Zack's performance was excellent. For the record, I would *not* have voted for that motion.

That I had been "blowing smoke" to cover up Zack Polanski's "failure"... 🤔

@yorksfella59.bsky.socialOct 11, 2026, 3:02 PM

You do wonder sometimes... The Greens secure a third of the vote, in what was previously a safe Labour seat. A massive increase in their share, whilst Labour's actually falls. More votes than all the other opposition parties combined. And when you point this out, what do the hard-of -thinking say?🤣

My Dad was an amateur painter, Reece. Over 20 years after his death, I still have some of his work stored in a cupboard. It's so hard to look at it. And remember...

"I" will do this. "I" will do that... No need for parliament to have any say then, Nige?

Nothing to make anyone think he's exactly like his fascist friend in what remains of the White House. (Except he even threatens tariffs😂)!

#Farage and #Trump are birds of a feather. Both in thrall to #Putin 🤮.

Now come on, Zack! The millionaires and billionaires' standards of living will hardly be impacted will they? Not enough to stop their money skewing and corrupting politics, anyhow..

And after all, the rest of us don't really matter, do we?

Company behind Scotland’s biggest data centre proposal is owned by the treasurer of the UK Conservative party via British Virgin Islands. It could receive £23m public subsidy. BVI facilitates opacity and tax avoidance. Successive UK govts have defended the use of tax havens by wealthy elites.

An accurate thread Alice! I definitely don't mean honest, moderate Christians, Muslims, Jews or any other faith, when I say that religion has too often been used by the unscrupulous as a prop to support nationalism and irrational fear of 'others'. It's not a healthy belief, in any incarnation.

@yorksfella59.bsky.socialOct 11, 2026, 11:01 AM

I hadn't heard that. It's a beautiful interpretation. Thank you!

Prison? Well, put it this way. For him, I might just rethink my objection to public executions...

Still think that filthy scum #Trump isn't a Russian asset?

President Zelensky is a better, greater man than that traitorous halfwit could ever even dream of being.

Old photo: Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire, was constructed between 1590 and 1597 for its remarkable owner, Elizabeth, Countess of Shrewsbury, better known as Bess of Hardwick. Seen here looking north along the double yew hedge which runs the length of the beautifully maintained South Court garden.

@yorksfella59.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 5:25 PM

I'd agree with that 😄👍

@yorksfella59.bsky.socialOct 10, 2026, 5:17 PM

No. I'll check it out, thanks!
