Went out to do Halloween decorating and suddenly heard skidding behind me. Figured it was yet another reckless driver but I turned around to watch a near miss triggered by a van breaking a tie rod and being unable to properly steer!

A bunch of cyclists out today and more arriving as we finished our 5 miles. Friday I was 650 miles away, I had to make do with biking on the Great Allegheny Passage near where I used to live.

I always have to check the sign for hunting season. We keep the orange vests in the back of the car and have a few extras in case we have folks join us to hike.

Immediately recognize spots from the pics 😅 We started at the northern “stub” of New London Turnpike today, at Division St, and went down to Carr Pond, which was unusual for us. We usually either walk west from NL Tpk and Hopkins Hill or go in to Carr Pond from Hopkins Hill at Tarbox Pond.
