Who among us is not broadly done with rugby, really?

The central conceit of the WRU’s supposed “evidence” is that all of it rests on the idea that 3 teams must happen because they can’t afford it. They’re not actually proposing anything that will lead to future success or growth - it’s managed decline, dressed up with nice PowerPoint presentations.
Look forward to Beaudy and Scott revealing how they’ve always held a deep spiritual connection to the Bristol area because their dad spent three months running St Werburgh’s City Farm in the late 90s, or something.
Mark Rhydderch-Roberts has given an interview with the Telegraph about his abruptly terminated WRU chair interview. Interestingly says he was headhunted for the role then told he was unsuccessful within an hour of interviewing. Feels the WRU job is “not one any rational person would take”
Another ice-cold retro jersey for Toulouse this season - pink and black hoops with the rose-wreathed logo.
You would NOT have caught me saying this five years ago, but Wales would be really silly not to have a look at Taine Basham in the autumn. A player who looks completely rejuvenated after some rotten injury luck since he came to Cardiff.
I don’t have any evidence - or even a coherent theory as to why it might be the case - but in my bones, I’m convinced that Reiko Ioane is somehow responsible for this.
I just don’t see how you can ever trust Sam Prendergast in high pressure situations while he continues to walk into a barber and ask for whatever the fuck that is on his head month after month.
Lmao
You do have to wonder if this is partly why England always look so fucking moribund on attack? They’re so used to not even having to work hard to get a line-break or score a try, when they encounter a defence that actually stands in the right place they’re completely flummoxed.
The Prem is basically the sporting equivalent of AI art. It has the superficial appearance of something of worth, and the algorithm might like it, but closer inspection reveals that it been created with no real effort, and nobody has the right number of fingers.
I don’t want to be all old man yells at cloud about the Prem, but I really do think there is limited enjoyment to be found in games like Northampton v Bath. Watching endless soft tries that have more to do with schoolboy defence than good attacking play is boring, actually?
Mike Blair over the last three weeks, apparently.
Ryan Lonergan when he has a kick right in front of the posts:
Oh and,
Look guys, it doesn’t matter who wins or loses this game. As the WRU has made clear, the most important thing is that all the Dragons fans will now only have a 30-minute car, bus or train ride home.
Famously calm and measured individuals Felipe Contempomi, Mario Ledesma and Shaun Edwards all in the same coaching group, you say? Strap in.
The album is called All Sets The Bone, by the way, and if you've ever enjoyed indie-rock of the MJ Lenderman, Wednesday, Jason Molina oeuvre, I think you will bloody love it
I will probably end up doing a thread of my albums of the year at some point, but Greg Freeman's new one, which came out last week, is pretty special.
He's also a wonderfully ramshackle (but sneaky good) guitar player – thank god *someone* asked him about it eh?
Still can't fully get over that I had to explain to Lee who Big John is on this week's episode, and in doing so realised trying to explain Big John to someone makes you sound absolutely insane. "He's a big bloke… Essex… loves Chinese food… gets into arguments with his cat… says 'Bosh!' a lot…?"
