American values. Uh. Well. But I don't seriously believe most Americans are into that nowadays.

Robin's mug is lovely and her trees cushion is SO comfy! It lives behind my back on the sofa every day now!

hahaha indeed!! They're definitely coming for *extremely* easy brains to get in that case!

Someone just @-d me with what appeared to be a Google drive link to something they called Brainchip Technologies. I don't want to know, so I blocked them immediately, but extremely weird spam in the very best possible scenario I think. If for any reason you search my mentions, don't click on that!

🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍

Thank you!

Oh this is a very nice thing to do!

Oh nooooooooooo

I just wish so much someone would come in and take care of us. Just for a little while. 😩

Meanwhile I'm trying to do laundry load after laundry load without a drier. It's usually fine, but an underblanket got it which after 8 hours is still actively dripping. After being on the cottons spin cycle! There's no room to wash or dry any more than I've done, and sicked-on stuff piles up.

There's no point even picking up the phone to my parents, who are both unwell and extremely uninterested. Even though they were once doctors, they have no advice or support for us. "Oh I don't remember darling" at kindest.

I feel so drained from living in permanent crisis mode. We're already in full on bug season, I injured my head while trying to look after my daughter (down with something else) a couple of days ago, we've got loads of appointments but no friends or family available to help us at all.

For several hours today she couldn't keep anything down for more than a couple of minutes and we considered taking her to hospital. But even in Stockholm, as we don't own a car, it would have been a 1.5 hour journey on public transport and that would NOT have been easy or safe for others.

[warning: emetophobics might want to mute this one] This is the third bug involving major vomiting that my poor little girl has got in 2026 alone. I know this, too, shall pass, but it is SO BAD and she is in so much distress. I, too, am horribly phobic - and husband and I will probably get it.

I was wondering the same (and I really ought to know this), I read the Wiki page, it makes sense to me why temperatures dropped but not why CO2 levelled out. I don't see any mention for instance that it released any minerals that reacted with CO2.

I bet the committee are embarrassed that last year's winner turned out to be a big fan of his and gave her prize to him. And have been careful not to pick one who'll follow suit. They laid the "international rule of law" part a bit thick. (I hope you don't mind if I skip the video of him. UGH)

We fortunately found out in advance, because we were taking our cats to the vet for their checkup and they were NOT fond of public transport. Also, fortunately, when it was time for me to go screaming my head off to the labour ward, the driver didn't roar off and leave me ...
