Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome? There are 12 books in the series. TBH the problem may be that even in the ‘60s I found them a bit old fashioned. That could well just be me.

In fairness it’s the only thing by Jagger that’s really much good. I’m with Eugene “Jagger the Dagger” McDaniels generally.

Did you see what’s left of AEoC at Cafe Oto about 10 years back? Of the great line up it was down to Roscoe Mitchell and Famadou Don Moye. Still worth the effort to get down there.

But in fairness now we have Joe McPhee and Nicole Mitchell so imagination trumps decades.
