yup. destroyed initial D's key selling point, the amazing fucking crafted specifically for this show music by a team of professionals putting his own hastily done stuff in there. nailing the coffin shut on one of the animes that could have been HUGE in the day but was just for DVD nerds... like me

i absolutely know I watched this anime from DVDs that my neighbour owned, and that he said ONE of the options was completely unwatchable garbage and the other one was great. but i can't remember if he loved the dub or the sub 😂😭
