Just messaged you.
It’s pretty neurodivergently-coded too. Carrie as a character always was, but it feels like Flanagan has made it even more obvious. I guess because it’s become such a huge sine-wave in society over the last ten years. Probably the most interesting thing I’ve watched this year.
Only just realised the headteacher is Stu from Scream, nice casting touch.
Just did a marathon curry extravaganza with one of the best dal makhani yet in the mix. Always a fave.
I hung the washing out earlier, breezy, so good drying weather. Walked through it to pick up the basket, the wind caught a fitted sheet, whipped the corner over my head and hooked it under my nose, my own forward motion left me on my arse with half a facelift and a curious hijab. Quality content.
Another data centre ruining a rather beautiful bit of historically anc environmentally significant piece of marshland on the outskirts of Norwich.

Opinion obviously. But it’s rare I think ‘oh no, look at the time, I need to stop watching’ and not want to.
Also first Stephen King I ever read, I was I think about 12, did my head in completely at the time. Remains a favourite.
It’s very Gen Z, but still retains so much of the original de Palma version, more so than the Peirce version did, which I quite liked, but was a bit daft. Carrie as a character is I think more complex as is her innocence. It’s clever.
Having watched a couple of episodes of the new Carrie, I can confirm it is very good. Recognisable, but canted very cleverly into now. Clearly thematically this will make it differ. But it’s cleverly done, even just taking US gun law, smartphone use and social media into account. Recommend.
It's odd isn't it. I've not explored the US side of ours, but nearly all the DNA matches I get are USA, or occasionally Australia.
Fabulous stuff.
I thought for a minute this was familiar, but it was the name McCoy that caused that – from the Roberts, Bevin and McCoy case. Not sure if they’re related, but @reliablyjeff.bsky.social might know.
That’s dead handy. Ta.
What era we talking here?
‘Ambassador, you are spoiling us.’
Me, on realising I’ve opened the door to Jehovah’s Witnesses.
So his name is actually Mr Morning Star Morning Star. How odd.
