It's tempting, just to make him look even more of an inarguable fool.
He would if he'd heard of it.
That's about as far as I got too, and then I got bored of the whining and whinging and made up nonsense.
What a beautiful sight.
If you live in Sheffield, and need an eye test, then go to Eyeye: you won't regret it. Oh, and they have an excellent range of frames available.
Karl has got a great team working at Eyeye: it's not just about the technicalities of the eye test (which is thorough and careful) but also the care around it. They're genuinely independent, so they're free to do this without corporate breathing down their necks.
You wouldn't get this at most opticians: a 20 minute appointment is barely enough time for the eye test. There certainly wouldn't be enough time for them to get to know you as well as this.
When you visit your optician (@eyeyeopticians.bsky.social ) and they ask about health/medication changes. So you tell them about being diagnosed with ADHD and trying medication for it, and their response is along the lines of "well I did wonder, but I didn't feel it was appropriate to say anything"!
I have no hesitation in reporting those to the police for obstructing the highway/parking in a dangerous position. Our local police force accepts photos as well as videos via Operation Snap.
It needs calling out for what it is: actively choosing to keep dangerous infrastructure, despite a safer alternative having been identified.
Sorry for your loss. I'm sure you will honour them with your voices.
And a splendid buffet of post-donation snacks.
The relentless asking is part of checking that you're not about to faint, your arm isn't hurting, etc etc. But yes I can imagine it could feel a bit overwhelming. My regular donation centre does a good line in teasing and banter, which means it doesn't feel cloying.
(I love that my 72 year old Mum is still creating adventures, and that she wants me to be part of them).
Mum and I will be cycling from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, via Toulouse, following the Canals des Deux Mers. For us it will be an adventure: neither of us has cycled that sort of distance before (even if it is over 10 days), and Mum hasn't done bikes on ferries & trains before. So excited!!
Actually anaemic, or just not enough "spare" to be able to donate without making you anaemic? (If the former, it really ought to be investigated by your GP. If the latter, it's disappointing but not worrying).
A DRIVER. A DRIVER chose to drive at you and your child. Please don't fall into the trap of blaming the vehicle.
* tailgated and harassed by DRIVERS.
It's not just about reading the story, but looking at the pictures, doing the voices, talkie about the story. It's the whole interaction.
Interesting thread. Every day's a school day.
