Consider how much of that model is a result of tool use. I used an airbrush and self-adhesive camouflage stencils. Also, I’ve had twice as long to find what works for me. But seriously? My best advice? Take some lessons. I just did and learned a ton. Looking forward to putting it to use….
Though, I guess technically it’s the same piece. Just before and after….
Yeah, but combining two pictures in response to a “choose one picture” prompt is pretty clearly cheating. Don’t care. Just going to keep painting and getting better.
I got experimental. It didn’t pan out. But that’s the secret. You can always start over. So never be afraid to try.
Adhesive stencils with the airbrush.
Great camo pattern!
HUMAN ARTISTS, use only one piece to convince people to follow you.
Reply or QRP with yours and like a few in the chain to boost other human artists!
Yeah, I cheated. Because sometimes I screw up. And then I learn and get better.
Apparently, there’s a Futurama quote that goes “I'm having one of those things. You know, a headache with pictures.” It’s describing an idea. Except I read it and immediately thought “a migraine?”

But I’ve got only a bit of experience with the techniques I’m using, so who knows how it will turn out….
I’m tackling the Weirdboy, and it’s practically begging for rainbow lighting given the wires arrayed out and around the head. I figure the collar is probably the brightest point on the mini. That means the face will be very dark (I’ll probably give the tongue and eyes some kind of luminescence).
Going to try something that’s got to be absurdly difficult. Rainbow OSL. Anyone have any photos of others’ attempts? Exemplars? Cautionary tales? Horror stories?
“Tournament adventures” meaning you sat down with people you didn’t know and powered as far as possible through an adventure with a hard end time. And there was scoring! Different philosophy back then…
Zara Fayaz made something special with this one…
Nobody is medically normal. Normal is a bullshit concept. Human bodies are not built to spec.
🦒ics?
Haven’t read that one yet….
