Less than a week after Mesabi said it would build a steel mill in Iowa, state legislators gave it a $1.4 billion tax break.
Twitter got a lot of its global cultural zeitgeist from Egyptians using it during the Arab spring and anti-government protests. BlueSky likes to think of itself as “resistance”, but global stories of resistance don’t penetrate well here. It’s America-centric platform for X refugees.
22 California billionaires have spent a combined $150 million so far to defeat Prop 40. By spending their fortunes trying to stop California from taxing billionaires, they're making the argument for a billionaire wealth tax more clearly and articulately than anyone else possibly could.

Enjoy the game! My alma mater has no defense sadly.
I’ve seen Black people across social media platforms talking about picnics at lynchings and so many white people are in our mentions insisting that the last public execution was 1936 and that lynchings were “mob murder” not state sanctioned. So confidently loud and incredibly wrong.
Are you wearing your black and gold striped overalls?
The headline on this @lmcgaughy.bsky.social piece. omg. So to speak.
Hey if you're a journalist covering federal elections (or just a human interested in federal campaign finance), check out DataTalk from @biglocalnews.bsky.social it's pretty cool!
