They're their own kind of tribbles ^^
Cryostase, transporter accident, magical cloud, wormhole: Hello, we are the legacy characters!! 🤭
Was=what
🤞 Starfighter is conceptually was I waited since 2012. To try a whole new thing. Maybe it won't work, but it needs to take some risk and feel different (like Andor, in a way).
☝️I’m not talking about using physical models (though, like Lucasfilm, you could have fun shooting a few shots with real models). Rather, it’s about envisioning similar constraints to move away from the somewhat cluttered feel of the modern Trek era. Too much freedom stifles creativity.
Obviously, I already have my list of concept artists ready. 😇 It’s important—specifically regarding visual effects, or rather visual effects direction—that the space battles be filmed the old-fashioned way, as if using miniatures; that is very important.
Naturally, the story should reflect current events and contemporary issues in some way—such as crumbling international relations, genocides allowed to happen, media manipulation, or societal problems. Cooperation would be at the heart of this series.
As for a series—or rather, an exploration-focused story in the vein of The Motion Picture featuring space battles like those in The Wrath of Khan. I envision an X-Files-style structure: an overarching storyline spanning a single season or the entire series, interspersed with standalone episodes.
For me, interconnecting the shows wouldn't be a requirement, but a bonus. I would entrust each project to acclaimed authors working across different genres and formats. There could be lower-budget (not blockbusters) but intense, more focused movies, like Master and Commander.
We can obviously criticize TFA, but reinventing Star Wars without Lucas and under a tight deadline—the film is already a miracle.
Surprise!
"...I thought, 'I don't know if I can make a great version of Star Wars or reinvent this.' There are a lot of challenges to reinventing that. In fact, you've seen it play out. It hasn't been easy for them to reinvent that franchise, and you've got this fan base that's got its own strong opinions."
Why Ben Affleck (Argo) durned Down Star Wars: The Force Awakens? "I thought, 'Hey, I like Star Wars, I'm a fan, but I'm not the person to direct this movie. I just think someone else who has more passion for this is gonna do a better job.' That's not some great self sacrificing thing, because..."🔽
"vous avez payé cher ces 10 dernières années ? Vous aimez l'etat actuel des services publics ? Bah on continue mais encore plus injuste et degueulasse 🥰"
The Thing - the 2011 prequel - was released 15 years ago today. "At an Antarctica research site, the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson."
Dead Space was released 18 years ago today. omg Dead Space can vote 😱 "When an immense mining ship, the USG Ishimura, comes into contact with a mysterious alien artifact in a remote star system, its communications with Earth are mysteriously cut off." You shouldn't miss the great 2023 remake 🔥
🤭
My biggest regret.
Il est parfait comme il est. Ce fut mon entrée dans Trek.
