Man merkt den Abstand zur Metal-Kultur auch daran, dass keiner der Ehemaligen auf die Idee gekommen ist, mit neuer Band als Napalm Death A.D. oder Napalm Death Inc. zu touren.

Ja, das ist unglaublich - mit einem Spektrum von Cathedral bis Scorn. Letztere mag ich natürlich auch sehr, da gibt es noch viel zu entdecken. Gyral ist ein Favorit, und auch seine Releases als Quoit find ich super.

Schon die: nie gehört. Dabei hatten Forbidden in den 90ern sogar einen überzeugenden Sprung von Thrash zu Groove hingelegt, das ist ja nicht allen gelungen - und Russ Anderson hat gesungen wie ein junger Gott.

Das macht Godflesh sehr, sehr spannend - wie es gleichzeitig Verbindungen zu Extrem-Metal, Dub und eben sogar zur SPK- und Whitehouse-Schiene gibt.

Forbidden "gibt" es "wieder", mit ganz eigenartiger Besetzung, u.a. einem Sänger, der sich als "the metal chameleon" vorstellt. Manchmal war doch früher alles besser.

Godflesh hatte ich immer nur am Rand wahrgenommen - jetzt höre ich viel die Neueste von ihnen. Dass Broadrick die Band aufgeben muss, hat mich irgendwie bewegt.

Harmony Corruption = für mich die beste Napalm Death. Ich mag sie generell (vor allem auch live), und wenn ich sie hören will, greif ich fast immer zu dieser.
