Been working on some new code on my blog (for books) and I felt this strong draw to just get the LLM to do it. It would have been faster, but it prompted me to write this: My AI Policy

You star.

Need to check when I'm back at the laptop, but I don't think it is - that screen let's me pick a single wallpaper, I want to pick one for light theme and one for dark theme

@remysharp.comOct 9, 2026, 6:36 PM

Any @firefox.com smarties know if it's possible to have the browser tab wallpaper follow the system theme? Feels weird to have a light wallpaper with a dark browser.

Firefox empty tab with a dark chrome around the edge, dark weather widget, dark text entry for search, but a light background wallpaper and the firefox logo poking out from the side.

That @amyhupe.bsky.social such a brilliant speaker and communicator. Every time I see her speak, I come away wanting to be a better human.

I hope her talk on Listening will be seen after #WDC (no idea what their hashtag is)

@hidde.blog "some of your toots are art" - took me a minute to realise you meant social posts. British (soft) slang for a fart is "a toot". (love if this was on purpose!)

Quite chuffed with this. Though, only really been able to practice in real life once. Super nervous to "speak" to a deaf person - though the intention was to have a backup because of my own hearing.

1000 day streak learning British sign language.

I mean, I know I'm not smart (like, book-smart), but I just had my arse handed to me. Turns out there's no past tense to sentient, and it's certainly not sentinel. TIL the meaning of sentinel.

And I wonder where you can see @cydstumpel.nl talk next 🤔 ::cough:: FFConf ::cough:: 🥳 (also heard great things about Dark Mode)

Me in our newsletter that was about to go out to 1000s of people: "there's no such thing as rouge AI" 🟥 No, no such thing as red AI… 🤦

I built a game for September (actually I've been working on it since July). Inspired by Waldschattenspiel.

The explorer must escape the dungeon, the monster must find them before they do. My first multiplayer game!

I'm sure there are many bugs. Networking is hard.

Switch it around on him, line for line, next time during the Horizontal Mambo.

I love posts like this from @zachleat.com (2 weeks ago - because, yes, I'm slow): www.zachleat.com/web/ai-websi...

I love them because I don't actually need to read anything and from the (rather fancy) live speedruns, you can see the whole point visually.

And wow, how is big tech so shit at this?

I mean, sure, if you put the 10% of women speaking at the nearly 30 strong speakers at the very beginning of the list, we're not going to notice lack of effort in diversity…

@remysharp.comOct 4, 2026, 11:38 AM

Music Assistant users - do you use it with Apple Music as a source? My offline collection is still small by comparison, and when HA looks up songs to play (like Wet Leg), it'll either time out or take a few minutes because it's always headed to Apple. Is that normal experience with others?

@remysharp.comOct 3, 2026, 2:55 PM

Me. Earlier.

A photo of Remy in 1986 as young boy on Christmas day. Wallpaper is brown, and furry. TV in the background small but huge, VHS tape under it.

Remy is standing in front of his Christmas gift, the Kenner ewok village from star wars. It reaches up to his waist!

This is very useful. I do like the direction Firefox design is going, but the very round tabs make me think the hit target for tabs - especially when pinned and muted - is much smaller than it actually is.
