(Talk therapy in a traditional sense has always made me feel like being talked to like a grade schooler, I’m like this feels like kindergarten you know. I am suffering so I already did the work and read 20 books on this (real story))

Tbh I have very rarely found talk therapy or cbt helpful, because I’m like yes yes. I know what I feel and I know the terms and process of cbt but I cannot get past the feeling. It’s not me needing to get my words out, it’s the feeling/trauma that’s stuck inside and won’t budge!

Recently started EMDR therapy and it’s been so fascinating, finally got to the stage where I’m sitting down and staring at the ball while it moves back and forth and it makes me wanna learn everything about why it helps ppl scientifically? like what is it about eye movement or tapping that helps

Like in today’s world it makes sense mmo devs be more sympathetic to gen AI in their games that are already loaded with monetized/P2W/gacha systems…

ALSO hourlies make me feel awful. If I take 20 hours on a project that I estimated would only take 8 the onus is put on me to explain why it took 20 and why I must charge for 20. If I hold myself to a flat fee it encompasses all

Every time a company asks me for my hourly rate I explain (nicely) why I don’t do that… you will never get me to charge hourlies ever

If I charge hourly it doesn’t make sense imo (for me, personally) since the amount of hours it takes for me to complete something is wildly dependent, and I’m perfectionistic, and I have to do additional math. Flat fee and call it a day.. go to sleep..
