having such bad writer's block that I tried talking to my OC WRITER: You’re right about being almost done but I only have an hour or two per day where I can work on this so even though it’s a short list this is at least weeks’ worth of work and…even right now I’m having trouble talking to you, I just feel so empty. LURKER: Like you’re out of fuel. WRITER: Yes. LURKER: Have you been properly filling the tank? WRITER: I’ve taken time off to do other things LURKER: Were those other things doom scrolling and watching internet commentary on youtube? WRITER: Well…yes. But hear me out those are both things that when the urge to write strikes I won’t have to “finish” them. Like the youtubes are 20-40 minutes to an hour and the doom scrolling is real quick. LURKER: Why does ‘real quick’ take hours then? WRITER: That’s not the point; writer’s block passes right? I just have to wait it out. LURKER: How’s that working out for you? WRITER: Shut up
