A black background. The text reads: `The early morning sun had barely begun to rise. He stumbled around in the darkness, the cold, feeling for the loose— "There!" He ripped away the wood to find the tablet underneath. "I can't read this." The symbols could not be made out in such a dim dawn. The muffle in his robe made him feel a little silly. He thrust his compatriot into the open.` The scene transitions to a blue light highlighting a silhouette. The text reads: `"Aha! It is as I had predicted." The smug sprite glowed a bright blue, revealing the lettering etched into clay. The hand gripping the animated creature shunted it closer to the carvings. "Careful! You're making me nauseous..." He pointed to one section. "I recognize this number." His upside-down companion shook itself upright within his forefingers, and laughed heartily. "Just who pray tell, is the 'charlatan' now? Not only am I a genius, but I have solved the greatest crisis of our time! Just wait until we tell—" He interrupted it for the second time. "I hear someone rushing up the stairs." He shoved it into the compartment, next to the tablet. "Make yourself hidden here, and I'll find you again." "I am danger incarnate," The enchanted being scoffed. "I would fare better against an army of one hundred than a dark, cramped, disgusting little hole." He hissed back. "That's not a request. Someone is about to open this door at any minute. Avail yourself of the shadows, quickly!" The light went black.` The scene then transitions to a top down view of the figure standing in a pool of red light, illuminated by clock hands.
