Along with their distinctive stripes, its wings extend horizontally more than vertically, hence its common name, Zebra Longwing. As it moves from flower to flower, one sees a gap in its lower right hindwing—evidence of bird or anole attack. While it feeds a metallic green bee flies into view, and a dragonfly buzzes past—a blur even in slo-mo.
