A short video of young sister deer resting in the yard on an autumn evening. Mae lies down and begins chewing her cud, an uncommon and peaceful sight. The camera pans to her sister Daisy, already resting in her favorite spot, then returns to Mae, whose eyes are soft and relaxed. The gentle music, “Meadow Folk Lullaby,” accompanies this quiet moment of deer at rest.
A video of Mama, a wild doe, during an afternoon visit. She stands a few feet away in sunlight, scratches her right ear with her back foot, and then walks toward NanLeah, who is sitting in the shade. Mama comes so close that her nose touches the camera; her whiskers fill the frame and you experience her breath as she sniffs curiously . NanLeah’s shadow can be seen reaching toward Mama’s ear. The video ends as Mama steps away after lingering for several seconds.
Video of a 3½ month old doe, approaching a person without her mother nearby. Her twin sister watches from behind. The young deer takes a slice of apple from the person's hand and nuzzles the person's fingers. A few faded white baby spots remain visible on her shoulders and haunches as her winter coat begins to grow in.
