A 9 second clip of the flashing colour changing multimedia comb jelly box on a tabletop
Four ctenophores drifting in an aquarium
Video of a bucket filled with water that contains dozens of larval comb jellies (Mnemiopsis leidyi). They are approximately 2-3 mm in size.
A sea gooseberry snacking is quite a sight! This comb jelly lets its tentacles drift in the current to snag passing plankton. Then it reels in the tentacles and spins, passing the morsels of food over waiting rows of combs, which bring them to the jelly's mouth. Credit text to Monterey Bay Aquarium on X.
