A selection of SAA tunes played back on RC2014/RomWBW using Quazar’s SAA1099P interface module, and Small Computer Central’s SC737 50Hz interrupt module for timing. The tunes I think came from FRED magazine (I found a disk compilation but no track names) and the playback software is a version of ESI’s E-Tracker compiled module player (1992) for the SAM Coupé. Playback is controlled by toggling the front panel switches to select a track. The front panel LEDs show a rough left/right volume (only some of the the SAA’s six audio channels are visualised). All the tune data is embedded with the player binary, using zx0 compression to save space!
