Winnie-the-Pooh Is Published
Video of a book bound with medieval manuscript waste that is opened by a hand and shows a couple of early modern printed title pages pasted on paper. It then zooms on a title page of the Kalendarium, printed by Christophe Plantin in 1580.
Paper used to be for elites — papyrus, bamboo, silk. Then rag pulp, watermarks, and the 1799 continuous machine. By 1844 wood pulp put writing in everyone's hands. Same fight indie authors still win: get the story to the many, not the gatekeepers. #IndieAuthor #SelfPublishing #BookHistory
