Ape of the Hour sits on a couch with a framed poster of Resident Evil 2 and a frame photo of Alcina Dimitrescu on the wall, wearing a red hoodie, Resident Evil shirt and Umbrella Corperation hat, saying the following: Now, when it comes to the subject of Zach Cregger's 2026 Resident Evil film, I'm a bit conflicted. You see, there are two sides to me:My human side wants to say,"Hey, listen, if you enjoyed the film, that's fine."I'm not here to yuck anyone's yum.""I'm not here to sway your opinion one way or the other."And I realize that some thingsare just not for me and I have to accept that people are going to disagree with me on some things. But, then there's my ape side, that sees these people say that Zach Cregger's movie "is Resident Evil," that this is definitive, that the games "weren't that deep" or their stories "weren't that good" and I have to just say to that: Are you out of your goddamn minds? Then, a montage of scenes from the Resident Evil film plays with the text "Resident Evil Films. A Review. A History. A Manifesto. Escaping Containment Oct. 16th, 2026." while the song Rainy Day by Ice Nine Kills plays.
