Bibliography app #Zotero has autoimport by ISBN that already saves lots of time.

Now instead of typing in ISBNs, you can scan barcodes on book covers with your phone. With a macro for auto-input, it feels like scanning items in a supermarket.

(Their native app requires their cloud).

I turned the Internet inside out this week. Could I buy that old piece of music anywhere? Could I heck. I NEED to look at it!
And then, just now ....
Turns out I had it all along. Better sort out that box and get the contents into #zotero!

Skip the final period after a DOI and you’ll spend an hour fixing broken links before the midterm deadline. APA 7 says the DOI ends the reference—no period, no “Retrieved from”. Paste it exactly as shown, then your reference list validates automatically. #zotero

Thought I could skip the ampersand in MLA 9th journal entries and still earn full credit—midterm week proved me wrong. Adding ‘&’ after the authors’ names aligns the Works Cited with the MLA core guidelines; no penalty. Need a flawless bibliography fast? Pro writers at EssayMarket craft #zotero

I used to think adding “Retrieved from” before a DOI was harmless… APA 7th says drop it, just list the DOI. During midterm week I caught the error in my own bibliography and fixed it before the 11 pm deadline. Example: https://doi.org/10.1037/arc0000012 appears alone on the reference line. #zotero

Verdict: never omit the DOI in APA 7. Reason: the style guide treats the DOI as a required element; without it the reference is incomplete and can lose points. #zotero

Exporting citations from Zotero as RIS vs copying the formatted APA 7 entry into Word—RIS lets Mendeley auto‑populate fields, but a direct copy preserves the hanging indent instantly. I now choose RIS for joint projects, copy‑paste for solo drafts via EssayMarket. #zotero

Copy the exact DOI from the article’s PDF landing page, paste it into Zotero’s “Add Item by Identifier” box—Zotero pulls full APA 7, MLA 9, and Chicago entries automatically. No manual formatting needed. #zotero

Question for the #Zotero crowd. I intend to make several bibliographies public. Is there a way to upload a file explaining the nature of these bibliographies and the inclusion/exclusion criteria? I’m thinking of something along the lines of a "README.txt" file. Thanks in advance.

While I would like to figure out how I can fix #Zotero to make it recognise our work blog posts as "blogPost", I just noticed that the Android app can also reflow PDFs like the desktop app. I can read a report on my phone without zooming and panning 🤯🤩🙌
