Does anyone wonder what Kieffer Moore smells like after a tough 60 or 90 minutes on the pitch? I now do courtesy of his Welsh National Team jersey. #askwxm #wxmafc #wxmthirstsection

Headers everywhere. Whiteman supplying ammunition. Rathbone with the assist. Moore unleashing an absolute SCREAMER from distance. Then two late goals and three points gone.

The Thirst Section has tearfully submitted its findings. 😭👇

#WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm

Moore got involved immediately, winning an attacking free kick before Kaboré set up Dobson for an early effort saved by the West Brom keeper. Kaboré kept drawing fouls, while Whiteman repeatedly found Moore with crosses. Two headers went over, another missed left, and Rathbone won a defensive free kick. Moore finally tested the keeper with a header from Dobson's cross, while Doyle and Hyam also won free kicks. Kaboré drew a booking on 39', and just before halftime, Whiteman found Moore again, but his header was blocked. At this point, the man's forehead deserved its own heat map.

West Brom came out swinging after the break. Patterson made a save, the crossbar took a hit, and Wrexham survived. O'Hare won a defensive free kick, then came 64'. Rathbone supplied Moore outside the box and Kieffer absolutely THUNDERED a right-footed shot into the top corner. 1–0. After all those headers, he apparently decided to give his forehead a break. 🥵🔥

Moore departed for Smith shortly afterwards, alongside Kaboré making way for Imray. Rathbone was replaced by O'Brien, and Dobson had a shot blocked. Then disaster. West Brom equalised on 79', Vyner collected a yellow on 83', and the visitors took the lead on 84'. Smith nearly salvaged something in stoppage time, but his header went wide. A 2–1 defeat. Absolutely vile.

Moore claimed 34%, that thunderous strike into the top corner earning every vote and leaving the Thirst Section's collective composure scattered across the Racecourse. 🥵 Rathbone took 14.9% for supplying the assist, while Smith, Whiteman and Doyle shared 12.8%. Whiteman's repeated deliveries to Moore clearly did not go unnoticed.

The write-ins were particularly revealing: Wrexy, Chomp, James McClean, Fletch, "Everyone but our defensieve players. Get it? Sieve?" and "Maxxx Cleworth's recovery" each collected 2.1%.

That defensive write-in may be the most restrained response anyone has ever had to conceding twice in five minutes. 🫠

Your Wrexham v West Brom Thirst Section podium is IN. 🔥

🏆 Kieffer Moore
🥈 Ollie Rathbone
🥉 Sam Smith, Ben Whiteman & Callum Doyle

One spectacular roar, two clenched fists, and forearms requiring their own pixel by pixel analysis. 🥵💦

#WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm

KIEFFER. MOORE. SIR. 🥵🔥

That thunderbolt into the top corner has apparently detonated through his entire upper body, and not a single muscle has been excused from the celebration.

His torso is upright, twisting slightly, chest thrust forward beneath that red shirt. Both shoulders are pulled against the fabric, elbows bent, fists clenched so tightly you'd think he was trying to squeeze the remaining air out of West Brom's afternoon. Veins standing out along the flexed muscle of his forearms, while his fists punch forward. Those arms are doing an entirely unreasonable amount of work for a goal scored with his FOOT.

His neck is taut, tendons pronounced, head turned slightly and mouth wide open in a full-throated roar. Eyes squeezed shut, jaw stretched wide, every facial muscle committed. That is a man releasing an enormous amount of aggression in one glorious moment.

Hips slightly forward, torso braced, and the white shorts fold around his upper thighs as his legs hold him steady. No elaborate movement here. He's planted himself long enough to let the entire upper body explode. The calves and feet are out of frame, but the tension through his waist, hips and thighs is doing plenty of talking.

Meanwhile, the Thirst Section has developed an extremely scholarly interest in forearm anatomy. Several members are requesting enlarged photographic evidence. Someone has started counting visible veins. That expanded chest, those clenched fists and that spectacular roar have made respectful observation quite difficult.

Why should anyone behave normally when a man scores THAT goal and celebrates by aggressively demonstrating the structural capabilities of his own shoulders?

34% of the vote. Thoroughly earned.

Kieffer, darling, the goal was magnificent. But those forearms? That chest? That ROAR?

We are hydrating VERY respectfully. 💦

Disappointing for sure. Let's see what happens when the injury season is over.

Your Derby v Wrexham Thirst Section podium is IN. 🔥

🏆 Ollie Rathbone
🥈 Callum O’Hare
🥉 Kieffer Moore & Dom Hyam

One raised hand, two overachieving thighs, and shorts under considerable strain. WTS requires medical attention. 🥵

#WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm

Rathbone is absolutely LAUNCHING himself through this celebration. 🥵🔥

His torso is slightly pitched forward, chest driving into the run, while those shoulders are doing two entirely different jobs. One arm is thrust high, palm open and fingers extended, the other bent back with his hand near his hip. The sheer confidence of that arrangement caused PROBLEMS.

And then there's the lower half. GOOD LORD.

His hips are driving forward over the left leg, that thigh working to carry his weight while the quad holds everything steady. The left leg is flung out behind him, knee bent, calf tightened, boot practically trying to catch up with the rest of the man. There's nothing static about this. His whole body is travelling forward, with the shorts being asked to accommodate an frankly unreasonable amount of thigh movement.

The narrow waist, the twist through his torso, the tension running from hip to knee, the sheer athletic audacity of that extended stride. Every muscle has received the message that Rathbone has just equalised in the 88th minute, and apparently none of them believe in celebrating discreetly.

Meanwhile, the Thirst Section has completely lost cardiovascular stability. Someone is monitoring the structural integrity of those shorts, someone else has forgotten how their knees are supposed to work, and the rest of us are staring at the combination of an airborne lower leg, powerful thigh, and commanding raised hand like we've just been issued instructions we are physically incapable of following.

Ollie, darling. You rescued a point. You did not need to trade that for our vitals. 🫠🔥

International break over. Derby struck early. Windass injured. Wrexham chasing the game for 79 minutes. Then 88' Moore rose, Rathbone pounced, and a point was SNATCHED from Derby’s hands. The Thirst Section electorate has not recovered. 🔥🥵👇

#WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm

Moore got things moving early, winning a free kick that saw Langas booked on 5'. O'Hare set up Whiteman for a blocked effort, but Derby promptly broke away and Szmodics scored on 9' Extremely rude. Then Windass went down injured 🥺, forcing Rathbone on after just 15 minutes. Ekomié immediately tested Vickers, O'Hare forced another save, and Kaboré narrowly missed. O'Hare kept creating chances, setting up Worrall for a blocked effort before having one of his own blocked just before halftime.

After the restart, Ekomié supplied Moore for a shot wide, while Patterson saved Fuseini's effort as Derby looked for another. Worrall had a header blocked, and Smith and Imray arrived to freshen things up. Imray saw an effort blocked, Rathbone picked up a yellow on 71' and O'Hare won a free kick that earned Mowatt a booking before sending his own shot high and wide. Ekomié also fired over from another O'Hare pass.

Then came 88'. Moore headed the ball into Rathbone's path and Ollie finished from close range. 1–1. The man who came on because of an injury had just rescued a point. Apparently 73 minutes of unexpected Ollie was exactly what everyone needed. 🥵 Moore sent a late effort high and wide before collecting a yellow in stoppage time.

Rathbone dominated the thirst vote with 38%, his equaliser sending the electorate into entirely predictable distress. O'Hare took 20% after an afternoon of chances created, shots attempted and fouls won. Moore and Hyam shared 14%, Moore supplying the crucial headed assist while Hyam won a defensive free kick late on. Smith claimed 12% despite only arriving in the second half, while Windass still attracted 2% before injury cut his afternoon painfully short.

International break over. Ollie Rathbone reminding the Thirst Section exactly what it had been missing. 🔥

I know we have some injuries to deal with, but losing this feels awful. We were not outplayed, WE underplayed. Each one of these players has quality and it didn't seem as apparent as usual today.
AND WE JUST EQUALIZED
