@azzageddi.myatproto.socialJust bought my attending membership for #Worldcon 2027. Cheers to @montrealworldcon27.bsky.social for a nice simple interface, much less confusing than some previous years! Today is the last day before prices go up. montreal2027.ca/en/registrat...

I stayed during #Worldcon at what is billed as "Inn and Suites" but it felt like a very old school motel. It was a very short walk to the Hilton and the Convention Center past that.
In a bit of a retrospective, I really enjoyed #Worldcon. Ever Worldcon is different, at least my experience of them is. There was a lot of interesting stuff presented at panels, and the party arrangement was great (a courtyard with rooms opening on it for people/groups throwing parties).

@mythologist.bsky.socialIt was my honor to bring Toveema, the indigenous song and dance ensemble of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles Basin and the Southern Channel Islands) to the Opening Ceremonies of this year's Worldcon.

I have yet to attend #WorldCon (thereâs always Montreal!) but I love @scottedelman.bsky.social donut episodes (too few and far between).
Give a listen to this episode of the Hugo Award nominated Eating The Fantastic and meet some great people.
Get well soon, Scott!

@mythologist.bsky.socialAlthough she's more of a medievalist and I'm more of a prehistorian, we have plenty in common, including a keen interest in communicating the results of lesser-known but powerful academic concepts through speculative fiction. đ
