From my cleaner WIP, I have "dazzling".
It's Troy's first time cleaning Paul's neglected house, and drenched in grief and despair Paul is floating a bit on his thoughts about him, and what that cleaning is doing to his soul. (cw alcohol, drinking)

“You have any spare bed sheets?” “In the cupboard…” He was bolder a bit with the alcohol warming his blood, his eyes roaming that man, catching that slight sad light in his eyes. He sat up, a bit ashamed. “You want me to help find them?” “No. I’ll manage.” Hesitating, but he just went back upstairs. Paul looked at the can in his hand. Shit. But he finished it, and crumpled it in his hand, throwing it on the floor. It joined the others. He smirked and turned back to the TV. Watching that man come down with his supplies, his hoover, carrying everything effortlessly. “The kitchen?” Paul’s eyes went wide. “You’re done with the room?” That dazzling smile. “Yes. I told you. No big deal.” “Kitchen’s there.” Gesturing at an alcove near the stairs. Hearing him pack, throw all that junk into garbage bags. Long minutes of that packing, maybe an hour. Bags after bags which he kept piling outside near the stairs. He poked his head out. “The fridge?” Paul had guessed. “You better put a mask on… I am not sure what you’ll find in there.” “Ok.” That smile still on, he reached into a bucket and pulled a bag out, ripping it open, pushing that mask on his face. He turned then and Paul could hear glass breaking, things thrown into bags. He had to go out to the pickup, bring more in. More bleach too. Listening to him work, watching him carry the bags to the curb, his muscles straining. Those muscles built with physical work, not artificially in a gym. Paul could see, that that strength was there even if his muscles were not ripping his clothes apart.

The air crackled with electricity, the cabin criss crossed with data lines shining from the screens, flashing chaotically around him. "Here goes..." Phil sighed, closing his eyes and - almost without thinking - striking the Saturday Night Fever pose. DOWNLOADING. Phil barely heard Dexy's voice over the distorted disco beats that vibrated his armour. The vibrant light beams that strobed across the Ambivalence converged, drawn to Phil's disco finger like a particularly groovy lightning conductor, and pulsed through his armour, flipping it from plain steel to a sparkling glitterball effect.

“It’ll take s minute for him to get his senses back. Iron is harmful to Fae, remember?” she says. “Remember? This is the first I’m hearing of it,” I comment. I look to Gizelda, who’s now holding a tiny vial up to eye-level. It has some sort of silvery dust in it, but before I can discern anything else, she crushes the vial and throws the dust towards the center of the open space. The dust soars as if the rain doesn’t exist, falling over the space like an expertly cast net for a second before swirling into a multitude of thin tornadoes. I blink, and the dazzle of dust is gone, replaced by dozens of revealed caltrops scattered all over the ground. “That’s a neat trick,” I comment. “People use iron like this all the time, so father developed countermeasures,” Gizelda says and starts surveying the littered ground. “This is not favourable ground.” “We’ll take care of that!” Craig comments and starts walking into the compound, picking up caltrops as he goes. “Wait-“ I try to say, but I feel a hand on my shoulder, and turn to see Irena there. “No time, just cover them, those need to be picked up anyway. Ari, can you carry Mr Vran for a bit please?” “Uh, sure,” Ari says and scoops up Vran in one movement as the rest of the class spreads out a bit, picking up caltrops, except for Gesa, Galilah and Christine. Christine’s flames provide welcome illumination, but I look to the two sisters questioningly.

Belle had skipped ahead, did her hair just change ? Vela could swear it was darker now. She beckoned them to a clothing store on the second level, up a flight of stairs. "Oh look, band hoodies are 40 % off !" she exclaimed, waving her hand over a rich selection of black goth and metal themed hoodies. Black, purple, iridiscent. Vela was dazzled by the display, she never frequented stores like this, even though most bigger cities even in the colonies had them. In alliance space they also didn't have prices, rarely credits, but most of the stuff was just there. This price sign had credits, some weird symbol and consortium units gleaming, blinking with various reductions and special offers. Following Velas puzzled gaze Belle reassured "It's on my card !" With that she pushed them through the auto-sliding door into a cloud of textile-smell, heavy flowery perfume and blaring bass music.

I suffer from a strange disease that forces me to describe every funny little robot my cast comes across

The antigrav disc whirred, lifted itself off the air, then beeped and went still. A flat Artificial wearing staff colors took notice—a three-legged, disc-shaped entity of smooth metal. Its name tag, alternating between all major alphabets, read (when Yana could read it) XB05 'Xeebee', and specified 'it' as form of address. Xeebee approached them through a somewhat dazzling dance of twirling legs around which it pivoted, spinning like an unsteady top until it reached them, and came to an abrupt halt. "I am sorry. They are a bit temperamental," it said. Its voice, heavily modulated, sounded like something out of an ancient synthesizer. Sharp and harsh—intentionally so. It leaned its body forward so that all three omnidirectional cameras on its back were trained on Yana and Xyd, and pointed one spiderlike leg towards the darker circle in the middle of the mobility disc. "You will have to stand there."

Bright sunlight threatened to blind her again, but through the dazzle, she saw the rough, sunburned faces of a number of men, who all seemed to find her appearance quite fascinating. They were, indeed, upon a ship. As they continued to push her along, she noted the two masts, the vast swathes of cloth for the sails, and the even more vast ocean surrounding the ship. Which would’ve been a relief, if swallowing hadn’t also made him realise how bloody *thirsty* he was. *Need more tea. That’ll help.* He’d had three refills already, which should’ve been plenty – more than plenty, since he’d been drinking both water and blood as well – but, no matter how much he drank, his throat still felt as dry and rough as sandpaper. *Maybe I caught a chill when we went out in the snow, back when I saw Caine on the edge of the forest, and staying up last night made my body weak enough that it could properly take hold. That might be it.* He didn’t have time to have a chill either, not when he needed to tell the Archmage… something. *What was it? I know it was important, and I know he probably already knows, but I wanted the proof, and…* And why was it so bloody hard to think right now?

Writing snippet: The irony wasn't lost on her. Dying of thirst mere feet from the world's most bountiful source of water. She figured she'd go to it eventually, cupping mouthful after mouthful, simply for the relief, though she knew it would only hasten the end. The sun was high. Searing. No place for shelter—just sand, as far as she could see. Sand coating her arms and legs, biting at her cheeks, invading the desert of her tongue. Her head throbbed at the smallest movement, and after some time, her vision started to fade in and out, sunlight replaced by darkness replaced by sunlight, smeared and stained across the whitewashed sky. Micah’s voice in her ear and gone again. Her mother, then, pleading something, but that couldn't be right because she was gone. They were both gone. She blinked away tears that wouldn't come. The roar of the ocean filled in their stead. So bright. Such blinding light. And then a hand, shot straight from the sky, manifesting from nothing—from light, from air—as if the very hand of God were reaching for her. Reaching and reaching, and she thought: Good. I'm ready. Take me home to them. Forgive me. My absolution.

The line where the stars of the Land Above appeared to meet the sea of the Land In-Between grew more visible, so that the eye could tell clearly which was dark and which was not. As the early morning breeze rolled in to ruffle her hair, Keilani watched the not-dark change colors from deepest indigo to darker blue, and then suddenly to a touch of the normal pallor as the eye of the eye of the sun peeked up to dazzle the world. Waves shone white upon a still-dark ocean as they carried the promise of day ever forward. Her toes were cold from sitting so long on the porch. She wiggled them in the air, stretching towards the sun as it rose so that its first rays could warm them. “What are you doing?” The question came from behind her, and it ended with a yawn. “Good morning to you as well,” Keilani replied. “Did you sleep well?” “As well as one can in a strange bed, with a lodge-mate who snores.” Keilani covered a yawn with her hand. “I would object to that, but I am too tired.
