@fabulousphoenixboy.bsky.social@fabulousphoenixboy.bsky.socialnot new, but definitely renewed goal: get a poem featured on #WelcomeToNightVale
(they're not accepting writing submissions at this time, but a boy can dream)
unrelatedly: if someone wanted to send bookish mail to @nightvaleradio.bsky.social/@nightvalechat.bsky.social, how might one do that? #WTNV
@fabulousphoenixboy.bsky.social🧶 listening to #WelcomeToNightVale instead of sleeping (sleep is hard) and damn, 'Parade Day' (ep. 46) is so painfully relevant --- this last speech by Cecil especially:
'Witnesses are reporting what they saw today, but no witnesses joined in. The witnesses, weak and watching, only witnessed

@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Novel #2 "It Devours!" (17-Oct-17).
The last novel was a high spot. Can this Novel #2 follow suit?
Review: soon.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #116 "Council Member Flynn (3)" (15-Oct-17).
Third and final part and well pretty much nothing happened. To think I rushed through this 3-parter to get to Novel #2.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #115 "Council Member Flynn (2)" (01-Oct-17).
OK we are getting 3-part stories in this Year Six. Hopefully that consolidates the storytelling and stops it being too nebulous which was a huge issue in Year Five.
Will they kill off Tamika?

@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #114 "Council Member Flynn (1)" (15-Sep-17).
Ok I though Tamika Flynn was going to become a hero in this fiction but no she's just a fascist? A bit disappointing for me as her rise to prominence has been one of the better mananged plots.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #113 "Niecelet" (01-Sep-17).
Nice intimate self contained ep. I liked there being an actual resoution to the plot which was clued in earlier. More of this please. I did LOL at Cecil realising nobody fucking listens to his radio show.
@creativemagpie.bsky.socialThings that have HEAVILY been on my mind recently.

Ok there's an extra 32 minutes at the end of this which seems to be a completely different podcast? Why am I even being subjected to this? It's like 32 minutes of a promo stuck in after a mere 25 minute WTNV ep. Insane.
I skipped it.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #111 "Summer 2017, Night Vale, USA" (01-Aug-17)
After some large scale nebulous lore toss in recent eps it's good to have a more smaller ep that maybe is building a new arc properly this time.
This is the start of Year 6 of WTNV.

@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Bonus Podcast #10 "An excerpt from the next Night Vale novel!" (15-Jul-17).
More hiatus filler.
Novel #2 comes out 17-Oct-17 so I will wait til I have read Novel #2 before I listen back to this.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Bonus Podcast #9 "The Tragic Story of Louie Blasko" (01-Jul-17).
Hiatus time again!
This is the bonus track that was on the recent Live Show #106.5.
Good background given on the performance in that it was just one night only and the final night.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #110 "Matryoshka" (15-Jun-17).
This tidies up some of the chaos in recent WTNV. For me it's just cleaning up the mess of previous eps so for that I'm thankful.
If I ever hear the word "Multiverse" on WTNV or elsewhere again I may scream.

I was liking the pod as TFOWWSLIYH was in it but then they go and retcon her raison d'être too. So I got nothing out of this
I guess I liked Cecil sinking the island by mistake as an aside. That's at least the crazy WTNV goodness well done.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Donor Bonus Podcast 1 cont'd.
Well it's not great mainly as Carlos only exists to flesh out Cecil. He's a one joke character who actually makes Cecil uninteresting.
Who do I like less that Carlos?
Sheriff Sam needs Poochieing.
The rehabilitated Steve Carlsberg now needs killing.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Donor Bonus Podcast #1 "Holiday" (05-Jul-16).
As I completely missed that Cecil & Carlos were married I skipped this ep thinking it was 2018 as the dates were confused on the feed.
So now i know about the marriage I went back and listened to it.

@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast 109 cont'd.
So after this bad faith attempt to line every clashing idea up in one history they then say "Oh there's a multiverse now" (almost the exact words).
WTNV may lose me at times with its lack of story structure but i never expected plodding imagination.
