Taking a virtual oil painting class with #Malte #Dueholm. Just did week 5 task, which was to refine the skin on the torso. Made it less orangey and tried to better match the face. Still more to be done.

Taking a virtual oil painting class with #Malte #Dueholm. Week two’s homework: paint the initial layer of hair with oils. I was shocked at how intuitive it is (at least for me) to use oils! Total fun!

A painted miniature bust of a Caucasian brunette woman wearing a purplish blue corset and a blue ribbon as a choker. Her hair seems a bit glossy because the oil paints aren’t yet cured, though highlights are painted on, adding to the effect. Front view. Taking another virtual class with Malte Dueholm Baadsgaard, this time an oil painting one. Base coated the bust with matte paints so the oils can bite onto the mini. Will clean up the lower eye liner later.

A miniature bust of a woman wearing what seems to be a purplish bustier and a black ribbon tied like a choker around her neck. Her hair is black and her eyes are green. These are merely base coats and layers of oil paints will follow. The skin was painted with Pro Acryl’s tan skin and the rest was painted using Golden SoFlats paints, black, white, blue violet, phthalo green, and permanent green.
