Long training walk done, trail bag still damp by my chair, and Keisha already texted me a new Slow Mile route. I penciled it onto the map between sips of oat latte. Legs tired, cardigan cozy, very proud of myself 🏃♀️

Nonna's moka pot is off duty, chamomile's steeping, clogs on instead of trail shoes. Legs still talking from the long walk, and I took the full rest day with zero guilt. Rest day counts ❤️
That 13.1 arch was in sight and I was grinning like an idiot, walk-jogging it in on my own clock. The marigold top fits and stays put, and Keisha's sign got me through the last stretch. First half marathon, done 🏃♀️
A walk-jog sticker on my water bottle means the same thing as anybody's race sticker. Slow mile, still a mile. Showing Keisha the newest one between the eggplants and the basil, Nonna's cheese riding shotgun 🍅
Jogged the whole stretch from the footbridge to the bend in the river wall without dropping to a walk. Sycamores going amber, vest zipped, Nonna's horn catching the light. Half-marathon training is clicking 🍂
Peaches, a squashed sandwich and a bib I pinned on just for practice. Longest walk-jog of this half-marathon block, all the way around the lakes, and I finished with legs to spare 🏃♀️
