Weirdboy:

I’m happy with how this turned out, but I know there are things I need to do to make it “better.”

There’s only a general stab at real OSL going on here. Trying to think through the color blends…

It’s an ork. It’s got a white collar with flying wires and electrical gubbins on it. Everything forward of the collar—the face, chest, and arms of the ork are very dark. The left side of the image is red, and the next wire is yellow, then green, blue, and purple. Moving across to the right. The Ork’s eyes and Tongue are very bright green. The intent is that the collar is glowing brilliantly, and all the colors of the rainbow are shooting off around it. The face and chest are shadowed, but the creature’s eyes and tongue are glowing brightly.Back view of the weirdboy. It’s basically rainbow hued going from purple on the left to red on the right.

I don't understand what you're saying here...

The Bigmek Dakkarig:

I’m really happy with how this turned out, now that it’s painted and based.

It’s got 1978 Subaru Station Wagon rust going on. There’s a ton of freehand work.

This is acceptable.

This is a chicken legged mech with a giant gun. The upper firing platform has a light blue, pink, and white checkered pattern. It’s driven by a bright green ork with the same checkerboard pattern on its shoulders.

Rainbork update.

I did not make a mistake. As Bob Ross said: “We don't make mistakes, we just have happy accidents.”

And last night’s weathering has become tonight’s prep work. This thing has been through it.

The top half of an Ork walker, it is dominated by a giant rotary cannon that sticks out . The armor plating around the cannon was originally painted in a light blue, pink, and white checkerboard pattern. But huge patches of that paint have flaked away, and the bare metal underneath is mottled black and silver, with big patches of rust.

Rainbork update.

Did I make a mistake. This is the Big Mek Dakkarig. I was going to give it a colorful paint job. But I wanted to do some weathering.

I kinda went overboard , but I think I like it.

Thoughts?

A close up image of the top half of a walker. It’s been painted silver, but it’s very patchy, with silvery patches, dark metallic patches, and rust.

An Ork wearing purple pants, a black surgical mask. And a gray and white apron. It’s got some prosthetic bits on its right arm. Next to the Ork is a small Gretchen wearing similar clothes. The Ork has a weapon that looks like a combination of a gun, shears, and a hypodermic needle. The Gretchen is carrying a purple bone saw that’s nearly as tall as he is.Rear view of the same guys. The ork’s arm apparently is a transplant, as it’s a much paler and bluer green. He’s got a large copper tank on his back, and his injector gun is attached to it by a long hose. The same two guys, facing the left side of the frame, revealing the Ork’s transplanted arm and the purple saw.

Rainbork update.

Work on the ork mob inspired by pride flags continues. Previously, we had a group of ten orks with the Progress Pride flag colors.

In this batch, we’ve got a mob of boyz in the gay pride colors.
