Deep beneath the moon's surface, a weary sovereign confronts the ancient geometry of her dying kingdom. Classic 1960s monochrome sci-fi dread in stark chiaroscuro.

brucerlong.xyzSovereign of the Silent CraterIn the cavernous shadow of a decaying lunar throne room, a young monarch raises a glowing radium lantern to inspect an ancient, scarred monolith. Shot on monochrome Ilford FP3 with a Mitchell BNC, the frame relies on stark chiaroscuro lighting to carve her metallic gown and tired, freckled face from the surrounding gloom. Halation blooms softly around the lantern against the visible silver grain.
