@njemurray.bsky.socialThe final two #USL-1 Playoffs positions could also be locked up this weekend by Chattanooga Red Wolves SC and @fortwaynefc.bsky.social.
As in the #USL-C, the Players' Shield could be decided, and there's a notable log-jam between third and sixth place.
@njemurray.bsky.socialThere's the potential the final three slots in the #USL-C Playoffs could be locked up this weekend, or we could go to a fascinating decision day.
Key game to watch - Orange County SC vs. Phoenix Rising FC
Here's more, including all manner of scenarios.
@njemurray.bsky.socialThree seasons, three #USL-C Playoffs berths for Rhode Island FC. They're up to fifth place in the Eastern Conference tonight with two regular season games to play.
@njemurray.bsky.socialHey, I know that guy. #USL-C #LouCity
@njemurray.bsky.socialLeading domestic goalscorer in #MLS is now the @philadelphiaunion.com's Milan Iloski - 18 goals this season.
He's two off becoming the first player to have 20-goal campaigns in both MLS and the #USL-C.
@njemurray.bsky.socialFor the first time in its history, Hartford Athletic has earned consecutive #USL-C Playoffs berths. They're the sixth team into the field in the Eastern Conference with two games remaining in their regular season.
@njemurray.bsky.socialJust trying to clear and instead firing it off your own teammate and it caroming into the net. Jeez. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialWell, now.
Congrats to former @loucity.com standout Joshua Wynder on his first goal in #MLS. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialMiguel Berry's such an interesting player. Always had that, "wants to be a No. 10 in a No. 9s body" vibe. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialHartford Athletic goes ahead on a landmark - and pretty sweet - goal for Augustine Williams. He's the second player to record 90 regular season goals in the #USL-C history, only previously achieved by all-time leader Dane Kelly, who got to 106 in his career.
@njemurray.bsky.socialFinally, Birmingham Legion FC breaks through in the 6,132nd minute as AJ Paterson scores his first goal of the season. (We're going to keep this running joke going as long as the clock in the Match Center's gone awry. It's working fine for statistical purposes, I promise.) #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialI think you'd label this one a seeing-eye single to the bottom-left corner by Nick Scardina to put Rhode Island FC ahead. RIFC clinches its third postseason berth in as many years with a win tonight. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialSquad rotation, clap, clap, clap-clap-clap. #USL-C
@njemurray.bsky.socialMeanwhile in #USL-1, the Charlotte Independence are putting up one of the best campaigns in league history, including a record-setting 14-1-1 mark at home.
Also, notes for the @richmondkickers.bsky.social, One Knoxville SC, @fortwaynefc.bsky.social, and more.
@njemurray.bsky.socialOver the past weekend, Aodhan Quinn equaled Kenardo Forbes' #USL-C record for the most regular season assists all-time.
Here's more on that, details on how Hartford Athletic and Rhode Island FC can clinch their playoff berths tonight, and much more.
@ny-cosmoscountry.bsky.social@njemurray.bsky.socialIt's always going to go generally overlooked, but the home slate the Charlotte Independence put together in #USL-1 this season is absolutely absurd. 14-1-1 record, 45 goals scored (2.81 per game), 13 players with multiple goal contributions. Just tremendous entertainment every game.
@njemurray.bsky.socialTo sum up, there are a couple of very interesting young midfield playmakers doing big things in #USL-1 this season.
They're both in this week's Young Player Spotlight after standout displays for their respective clubs.
