Two TidyTuesday figures in Typst.
On the open map, Lille looks like it has seven times the pharmacies of Paris.
It doesn't. It was just mapped more fully.
And two fatty acids are enough to spot a fake avocado oil.

Vu que j'ai créé des cartes avec Typst récemment pour un de mes jdr, je me suis dit qu'il fallait que j'en fasse un tuto. C'est chose faite: profil.krisdoc.net/blog/creatio...
hi! if you use #typst in your own editor: what feature requests for editor tooling (not the language itself) do you have?
concretely, im planning to write a new typst language server almost from scratch and now would be the time to inform me of major things to consider when designing a new […]
The massive response to my #Typst article* suggests that Typst is gaining ground much more rapidly than even I expected:

🛠️ ChipWits Worlds Devlog: Migrated our in-game manual from LibreOffice to Typst. Writing functions for repetitive 6502 tables like flags and opcodes keeps everything uniform, and the whole PDF compiles in under 1 second!
Bit the bullet and tried to recreate a recent talk I made with LaTeX beamer with #Typst (touying).
I struggled a bit, but after about an hour I've converted all 30-ish slides in a half-decent way, and I'm starting to understand the basics of how to do Custom Things.
Looking for a #typst template for an academic CV with bibtex import for publications. I'm giving up on LaTeX for that.
This week's #TidyTuesday, drawn in Typst, looks at green space in cities.
I coloured them the way a satellite sees them (ish), sand where green was lost and green where it grew.
Last week's #TidyTuesday was the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The scribes had two inks, so scripture is in iron-gall ink and everything else is in red ochre.
I set the title in Frank Ruhl Libre, a font drawn for Hebrew and Latin together.
(I finally re-did it in #typst, though)
"Typst makes big strides"
My article about the major new features in #Typst v0.15 appeared today in LWN. Typst is a typesetting system that is the first realistic candidate for a modern LaTeX replacement.
So much easier to draft and tweak Typst figure (using Gribouille) for TidyTuesday, when working in a Quarto document.
Quarto Wizard 3.3 compiles the Typst block under your cursor and shows the image beside the editor.
Edit Typst blocks in a Quarto document without a full render to see it.
