Just a couple of young gulls. #Birds #TwosDay

Two gulls standing on exposed rocks in front of the Pacific Ocean at low tide. They are in a straight line between the camera and the water. In front is a small gull facing the left frame. It is grey in color - mottled grey head, light grey breast, darker grey wings, and grey legs and feet. Its bill is bright orange with a black tip. It is a juvenile Heerman's Gull. The one begging it is about twice as big. Its body is facing the camera with its head turned towards the right frame. It is entirely mottled grey, lighter at the neck and upper breast, a little darker at the head, and darkest at the visible portions of the body. Its bill is charcoal grey. It is a juvenile Western Gull. The rocks they are standing on are encrusted with grey barnacle type material. The water behind them is somewhat rough and colored in shades of blue.
