Just about everyone who's building a Drupal site has opened a Twig file. But most have barely scratched the surface of what it can do.

We'll be at the PNWDrupal Summit to share insights into different Twig capabilities.

See you there!

FYI, avoid updating Twig in Drupal from 3.29 to 3.30 for now.

Drupal core has been fixed, but it still hasn't been released.

Run composer require "twig/twig:3.29.0" to downgrade

Is headless #Drupal over? Maybe! Twig can generate a static site straight from your Drupal theme.

At the PNW Drupal Summit, our Senior Architect, Mike McCaffrey, will present Twig capabilities many developers overlook.

Registration closes Oct. 2nd.

The content variable is a custom variable the theme passes through to a Twig template.

Use the without filter to drop an array key you don't want rendered.

To add your own, append a render array to content in a preprocessor.

The Twig "extends" tag lets you override part of a template.

Wrap part of your markup in a block, then extend the template and redefine just that block. Everything else stays as it was.

Call "parent" inside the block to keep the original markup and add to it.

Automated Twig coding-standard checks are coming to Drupal contrib CI. Core already uses Twig CS Fixer, while the contributed-project GitLab job is tested but remains disabled by default until Drupal 11.5.
