@jodiepower.bsky.social bringing up the rear with Hippotraktor's 'I Breathe, I Am'. Belgian prog-metal... She's very pleased with herself for finding something current, even if it's 2 weeks old. Rules are rules. Not that we have any. youtu.be/h6Zo_vPWM8Q #TTTMDM

Thursday cocktails, just me at Tabletop Towers so far. I'm going with the new one from Orbital with Maxine Peake. A stylistic melange that adopts your ears like fungus in a warm hole, or a lonely baguette. youtu.be/RChplJsbtuU

steev: drumcorps, from the new album 'Breakdown', out 2 Oct. The sound of your own brains getting smashed out by a manic crab on clarkee caps. I'm tired of all this winning but its easy when it's your account, they just let you do it. youtu.be/E9vyL-Ifac8 #TTTMDM #drumcorps

Two for one cocktails at Tabletop towers - @jodiepower.bsky.social pick: ‘friends’ by unpeople. A love song from a singer who doesn’t trust the concept. Punk rock falling down the stairs with its hair on fire. Debut album ‘we are unpeople’ out tomorrow on SharpTone. youtu.be/BbRI_FU6wSs #TTTMDM

@angusabranson.bsky.social is in early for a change, with @aperfectcircleband.bsky.social 'To Whom It May Concern'. Maynard James Keenan is in 3 bands and statistically at least one has to be doing interesting things. New single and a North American tour next spring. youtu.be/1gvOSUZGXdo #TTTMDM

A late entry from @jodiepower.bsky.social - I thought I was late! My offering this week is from Onelinedrawing, aka Jonah Matranga who I saw on Tuesday this week supporting Spitalfield in Bristol. His new album came out last week, this is the first song. youtu.be/la9Yka-hFZI #tttmdm #bristol

It's Thurs 2-for-1 cocktails at Tabletop Towers and it looks like it's just me again so i'm breaking all the rules and sticking with Godflesh from last week because it's still the best soundtrack to the end of the world: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YmF... #godflesh #brum #ww3 #TTTMDM

2-for-1 part deux: @jodiepower.bsky.social, having once again inquired about the rules and been told there aren't any, brings Ministry's Singularity. Uncle Al versus the robots. At least it's contemporaneous, which by Jodie standards means post 1996. youtu.be/ZczRl9va6CU #TTTMDM

it's 2-for-1 at Tabletop Towers. steev's pick: Birmingham's Godflesh with a stunning new single from Decay, out tomorrow on Relapse. There's a joke here about Birmingham and street cleaners... but we would never stoop that low. This is a stonker. youtu.be/6YmFe0eBSJA #TTTMDM #Godflesh #Birmingham

Solo #TTTMDM from the Tabletop Towers sick bay. No cocktails, no contest. Just ADULT. and a box of self-pity. "No One Is Coming" off Kissing Luck Goodbye is 25 years of distilled Detroit synth-punk. Co-headlining with A Place To Bury Strangers from Nov 5 at Assembly, Kingston NY youtu.be/TJkGteQrSsw

@jodiepower.bsky.social marks the passing of Every Time I Die's Andy Williams with 'Post-Boredom'. Founding guitarist, 9 albums, and a parallel career as The Butcher. He collapsed during a wrestling match last Saturday. He was 48. His shirt in the video: Riff Wizard youtu.be/_1O1CuUuRWw #TTTMDM

@angusabranson.bsky.social continues his long loveletter to well produced rock music that sounds a bit like metal. Chrissy Costanza can't half sing tho. Against the Current's Protégé, released yesterday with 3rd album 'Till Death & Back' on oct 30. #TTTMDM #NoCorners youtu.be/hY6Uw0Rw-vY

it's #TTTMDM at Tabletop Towers. steev's pick this week: Emma Ruth Rundle, 'Powerless'. He was going to coin the term 'Grunge 2.0' before the creeping, horrible realisation that this is now AOR. 'These Killing Times' lands Sept 18 on her own Errant Child label. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RevP...
